Lane County Jail Roster

The Lane County Jail Inmate Roster in Oregon is a public tool that allows you to check who is currently in custody. LaneCourt.us helps find public information about current and recent inmates. Additionally, data can be obtained through the official website of the Lane County Sheriff's Office, in person at the jail, or by phone. The roster search allows the public to learn about a person's custody status, charges, and booking information. The roster is maintained by the Lane County Sheriff's Office, displays only those currently in custody, and is regularly updated on the Offender Bookings & Releases page.

Find Lane Jail Booking Records Online

A booking record is created when a person is officially admitted to the jail. This process includes recording personal information, photographing, and registering charges.

A typical booking record contains:

FieldDescription
Booking NumberA unique identifier assigned upon registration
Date and TimeWhen the person was admitted to the facility
ChargesList of criminal charges filed
Arresting AgencyThe police department that made the arrest
Custody StatusIn custody, released, transferred

Access to booking records online is available through the AIC Viewer, which shows data on individuals currently in custody. For archived records or more detailed information, submit a public records request. The Sheriff's Office accepts such requests via online form or mail.

If the person has already been transferred to a state correctional facility, the search can continue through the Oregon Offender Search system of the Oregon Department of Corrections.

Search the Lane Jail Roster by Last Name or Booking Number

The Lane County public inmate viewer supports two main search methods.

Search by Last Name

Open the AIC Viewer and use the Ctrl+F (Windows) or Cmd+F (Mac) key combination to enter the last name in the browser's search bar. A few tips:

  • Enter the last name exactly as it may be officially recorded—no abbreviations or nicknames
  • Try different spellings if the last name may have alternative transliterations
  • Add the first name to narrow down results if the last name is common

Search by Booking Number

If you know the booking number, enter it in the browser's search bar on the viewer page. This is the fastest way to find a specific record.

If the Search Yields No Results

The absence of a name in the list means one of the following:

  1. The person has not yet been entered into the system (the booking process may be ongoing)
  2. The person has already been released or transferred to another facility
  3. The name is recorded differently than you expected

In such a case, call the jail directly at 541-682-4292. To check for arrest warrants, you can visit the Eugene city website or the county court.

Jail Roster Updates and Search Limitations in Lane

The Lane County inmate viewer is regularly updated and reflects the current custody status. However, there may be a delay between the actual arrest and the appearance of the record in the system—the booking procedure involves several processing stages.

Main limitations to be aware of:

  • Booking delay. A new record may not appear in the viewer immediately after an arrest
  • Disappearance after release. The viewer only shows individuals currently in custody. After release, the record is removed from the list
  • Not an archive. The system does not store the history of all past bookings. To obtain archived data, an official records request must be submitted
  • Data entry errors. Sometimes discrepancies in name spelling occur, complicating the search

For court records related to the case, contact the Lane County Circuit Court Records Department. A statewide criminal history check can be ordered through the Oregon State Police. If you need police reports or incident logs, submit a request through the Lane County public records request form.
